And for those of you who love history, then you will love that this lot is home to the original building place of the Confederate Iron clad vessel, The Ram “Albemarle,” which aided in the recapture of Plymouth, NC in April 1864 and controlled the Roanoke River against Union forces until its capture in late October of 1864. This lot still is home to the original propeller blades that are buried deep in the ground. These blades were buried in order to hide them from the invading Union Army.
